Group sessions allow participants to share their experiences with others and benefit from the group dynamic. Art therapy is a valuable tool for supporting children's development. It is particularly well-suited for children experiencing psychological or physical difficulties, as well as for children with behavioral problems of varying severity. Art therapy helps children express their feelings through their unconscious and imagination. All children's drawings are a way of communicating something. Art therapy offers young children a safe and playful space to express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences creatively. Through drawing, painting, sculpting, or other artistic activities, children can: • Get to know themselves better: Art allows them to explore their inner world, discovering their strengths and weaknesses. • Manage their emotions: Artistic expression is a way to channel strong emotions such as anger, sadness, or anxiety. • Improve their self-esteem: Each artistic creation is a personal achievement that strengthens self-confidence. • Develop their creativity: Art therapy stimulates the imagination and encourages experimentation. • Facilitate communication: Art allows children to express what is difficult to say with words. Benefits: • Reduced stress and anxiety: Artistic expression is a form of relaxation that allows children to let go. • Improved concentration and memory: Creative activities engage various cognitive functions. • Development of social skills: Group activities promote interaction and learning to cooperate. • Psychological support: The art therapist accompanies the child or adolescent on their journey and helps them overcome difficulties. Art therapy is beneficial for children facing: • Emotional difficulties: sadness, anger, anxiety, etc. • Behavioral problems: hyperactivity, aggression, etc. • Academic difficulties: learning difficulties, lack of motivation, etc. • Difficult life events: bereavement, divorce, illness, etc. • Developmental disorders: autism, ADHD, etc. • Physical and/or mental disabilities
